It has come to the notice of the Management of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology, (NISLT) that some institutions (Universities, Polytechnics and Monotechnics) are offering Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) programme without approval of the Governing Council of the Institute, which is in contravention of the Act 12, 2003 of the National Assembly.

In view of the above, Institutions awarding degrees/Diplomas in any SLT area without the NISLT Governing council approval is doing so illegally and should be discontinued. 

The General Public should therefore take note and be warned from attending unapproved SLT programmes/institutions in Nigeria.
