RULES FOR ELECTION OF ASLTON NOMINEES TO REPRSENT
GEO-POLITICAL ZONES IN NISLT COUNCIL

CALL FOR PAPERS
The Journal of Laboratory Science is an official publication of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology. It would provide a platform for professionals in the field of Science and Technology to publish the results of scientific breakthrough as well as to share knowledge and collaborate for further research. The Journal therefore welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the criteria of international standard and recognition. The Papers should be findings in the fields of laboratory science and technology . The experimental procedures for the findings should be clearly and appropriately described in detail for others to verify the work. Click Here For a Download

INCULCATING THE CULTURE OF LABORATORY EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE
The Equipment and Maintenance Centre (EMC), University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB), Ogun State organized a two-day workshop. The workshop with the theme “Inculcating Maintenance Culture and Consciousness on Laboratory Technologists and Laboratory Personnel" took place on Tuesday 2 nd to Wednesday 3 rd February, 2010 at the Senate House, University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State. The workshop witnessed laboratory technologists, technical staff and other laboratory users from the University as participants.

MAINTENANCE WORKSHOP ON LABORATORY PROCEDURES AND ANALYSIS OF SOIL, CROP AND WATER FOR AGRICULTURAL SERVICES
Attendance for this workshop was somehow low; it was not unconnected with the strike action by our various institutions of higher learning. However, the workshop, which took place at the Institute's Headquarters on Monday, 12 th – Friday, 16 th October 2009 was fully prepared for by the Institute. The workshop was to acquaint participants with the latest analytical techniques and procedures for soil, water, plant, fertilizers and other agro based sample.

MAINTENANCEWORKSHOP ON AMINO ACID ANALYSER TECHNIQUES
The Institute organized the 12 th workshop on Amino Acid Analyser Techniques, which took place at the Headquarters of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT) on Monday, 26 th to Friday, 30 th October, 2009. The workshop was to acquaint and equip participants with the latest techniques and methods of protein separation using Amino Acid Analyser and other related equipment. The workshop also addressed the procedure for carrying out effective routine maintenance and trouble shooting of the amino acid analyser.
